Situated at an elevation of around 8000 feet, Ravangala is a small tourist located in the district of South Sikkim. It is some 65km from Gangtok and around 120km from West Bengal. The scenic beauty of the place is marvelous and it offers amazing views of some major Himalayan peaks like Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Pandim, Mt. Siniolchu, and Mt. Kabru. It is also the starting point for the trek to Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary.

The main airport used to reach Ravangla is Bagdogra airport in Siliguri, West Bengal. It is around 129 km away and it is a four to five hours drive. However, Pakyong airport can also be used to reach Ravangala. From Pakyong airport, it takes around 3 hours to reach Ravangla through Gangtok. The nearest railway station is the New Jalpaiguri Railway station in Siliguri. The most convenient way to reach Ravangla is to first come to Gangtok and then drive from there to Ravangla. Public transport is available from Gangtok and Siliguri for Ravangala.
