Pahalgam
Pahalgam, a beautiful hill station surrounded by hills and lots of greenery, is in Anantnagar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2130 meters, is at the junction of Aru and Sheshnag Rivers. Believed once to be a shepherd's village, Pahalgam is also the starting point of the annual Amarnath Yatra. This is quite a popular tourist place and has a number of hotels and lodges. Trekkers have plenty of opportunities in Pahalgam. This is also one of the best places to enjoy snowfall in Kashmir.
